As I grow in grace and develop more in Christ, my perception of life changes and my understanding expands. I grew up in an environment of holiness and was always taught to be sin conscious, as a result I learned or knew very little about the grace of God and the power of His Holy Spirit. It wasn't until I began my own personal relationship with God, moving beyond simply what I was told and abandoning teachings that focused more on religious doctrine and rules, but less on having a relationship with God, that I found peace and serenity.
