A huge number of people visit a grocery store several times a week and buy chicken, but not many of them know that what they are buying has been injected with various chemicals and not it is allowed to move around agricultural companies to expand them. This type of food production is called mass production, which uses a large amount of chemicals such as pesticides for crops and antibiotics for livestock to ensure rapid production, focusing only on maximizing profit. Furthermore, large companies do not clearly disclose to consumers the manufacturing process of their products. As a result, mass production of food has caused problems in the economic and environmental aspects of our society. Thus, as an alternative to mass production, the local food movement is spreading around the world, especially in the United States. The local food movement is the consumption of food produced in the region where you live. This effort in the food industry has its benefits in terms of consumer satisfaction, economic cost and environmental protection. One of the advantages of local food is that it can meet current consumer needs better than mass-produced food. Nowadays, many consumers are concerned about their health and well-being. Therefore, they want to know exactly what products they are consuming. Attempting to consume locally grown food allows consumers to be clearly aware of the food production process. Theoretically, arable land for local food is available within the living space of community members, which makes it possible for residents to know the person responsible for the production. Furthermore, consumers can easily visit the production area. This is in contrast to mass production because large companies tend to keep their method secret or reveal only a limited amount of information
