I must remember to trust other people and allow them to solve problems or situations that I feel can be handled better by me. My favorite ethical objective is reputation. I listen to my intuition and determine which character traits and virtues will best serve the community. I feel like looking at each situation in its context is better than just throwing them together and hoping the solution works for everyone. My personal ethics continually influence my decision making. They are personal and moral beliefs that define the person I am. I believe in the value of equality, in treating people equally regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation. When I make a decision, I have to think about how it will affect others and whether it will show them respect and all the things I want to be treated with. Ethics apply to professional responsibilities as there is usually an employee handbook and code of ethics that every employee must sign. These usually state things about sexual harassment, physical violence, discrimination, etc. And they set out what will happen if you, as an employee, violate any of these things. The Code of Ethics varies depending on the profession, for teachers part of their code requires them to act professionally and not share confidential information with anyone who is not immediately involved in the situation. In hospitality one of the things is to focus on discrimination and protection of guests' property; such as credit card numbers, telephone numbers and any other personal information. The same basic ideas also apply to social life. It can be said simply: treat others as you want to be
