Many people reflect on the nature of politics. Politics is an art, a way of thinking and a public and idealistic profession, even if it sometimes succumbs to corruption and a lack of ideals, which often change the course of world events. Mortals with reason and influence express their ideas to shape or reform a group's politics. In democratic society, the population is able to express and apply their inherent opinions in an arena that sees a battle for consensus. However, in the historical panorama, the premise of men's commitment to free reason and the appointment of representatives of this reason has not always been true. Throughout history, politics has transformed from being a totalitarian regime to allowing people to determine part of their collective destiny. To understand the politics of the past, one must begin to explore and understand the eras of ancient totalitarianism, the medieval feudal system, limited monarchy, and modern systems of communist democracies and governments. History has witnessed a transformation of global thinking on politics. Ancient Monarchies: For thousands of years across the world, governments have been ruled at the hands of monarchies. These monarchies ranged from a single king to a council of absolute rulers. The history of monarchy is perhaps the longest form of government in the history of the world. Its known history spans over 3,000 years. From the city-states of Sumeria in 2600 BC to the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1923, history has been dominated by kings and queens who held or attempted to hold absolute rule. You might ask, “What drove these monarchies and what caused their collapse?” The first question is simple: power. Terrible... middle of paper... that they were restoring the people from oppression. Regime comes in many forms: fascism in the 1920s and 1940s, communism, and Islamic theocracy. However, they all brought oppression, and as a result, hundreds of millions of human beings died. The modern age has given rise to a series of periods, ranging from limited monarchy, to democracy, to totalitarianism. The history of politics is one of many millennia of changes over time. From monarchies, to democracies, to dictatorships, the nature of political freedom and political thought has changed considerably. However, dictatorships have always existed in some form. Due to human nature, dications will always exist in some form. Likewise, free thought emerged which allowed for a new sense of freedom and progress in society. History should remember the change of the political system for the benefit of all people.
