In some schools, students attend French or Spanish lessons using cell phones to call classmates and speak to them in that language. Some schools do not allow phone use during school because they have banned or restricted cell phone use. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/personal/2013/08/07/views-shift-on-cell-phones-in-schools/2607381/ Right at the start of the school year in the fall, students packed technologies in their backpacks such as iPads and iPhones. The use of technology is nothing new to students because they have grown up with it and use technologies every day. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/personal/2013/08/07/views-shift-on-cell-phones-in-schools/2607381/Although schools have banned or restricted the use of phones , 73% of teachers and students said they use their phones in class or other places to complete homework. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/personal/2013/08/07/views-shift-on-cell-phones-in-schools/2607381/ Since the September 11 terrorist attacks, school systems begin easing cell phone bans in schools. Although phones have been banned from some schools and cannot be used unless it is in an emergency. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/personal/2013/08/07/views-shift-on-cell-phones-in-schools/2607381/ Students continue to use phones during class even though they shouldn't, but they have reasons why they do. Students usually continue if they are finished with their homework. And students still bring their phones to school every day, so why can't teachers let them use them? Students still wear them to talk to people, do research, text people, or play games. Teachers would tell a student to go read a book or sit quietly, but the... center of the paper... lowered a little. Students would have more things to do and phones could be an educational tool and students could still learn from them. Not only that, the phones have built-in Internet service so students can use the Internet virtually anywhere they want. http://www.debate.org/opinions/should-students-be-allowed-to-use-cell-phones-in-schoolWorks CitedDean. “Should students be allowed to use cell phones at school?” Edu who stutters during masses.
