Within this video, this guy really tackles a problem that no one has really been introduced to. It shows graphs that talk about how we Americans think our wealth is distributed. We think distribution is going well. Americans think the bottom 40% get some money. They also believe that the middle class is quite well off. Unfortunately this is not the case. In the video, he breaks it down a little better. It shows a graph that shows how the money is actually distributed. The poorest of the poor don't even register on the poverty line. The middle class can barely get by. And then there is this huge difference between “the rich” and the poor. It is proven that 1% of the United States owns 40% of the wealth of the entire nation ("Wealth Inequality in America."). The bottom 80% of the United States share between them only 7% of the national wealth. The richest 1% own 50% of stocks, bonds and mutual funds. The bottom 50% of Americans own just 0.5% (“Wealth Inequality in America”). The poor don't just survive, they struggle to survive. Now that it is clear that there are many poor people in America, it is important to understand how to fix them
