I think…In my English class we were learning about Anne Frank and her life during the Holocaust. During the Holocaust many people, especially Jews, lost their lives; Anne was one of the 6 million Jews who died. Before her family and everyone else was taken to concentration camps, Anne enjoyed writing in her diary. After the war Anne's father, the only survivor of the family, received Anne's diary from Miep, the families' caretaker while they were in hiding. One of Anne's most endearing quotes was "I believe people are really good at heart", I believe Anne when she says that. I agree with Anne because many people hid Jews during the Holocaust. Miep and Mr. Kraler help Frank, Van Daan, and Miep's dentist, Mr. Dussel during the Holocaust. They hid them even though he knew it was against the law. They both kept everything secret, even got them food every day and slipped upstairs to the attic before the workers arrived. "Mr. Kraler: I must go before the workers arrive. Miep or I will bring you food and news and find out what your needs are. (Goodrich and Hackett 515). Miep's first grocer also hid a Jew. The Nazi in some way he found out and was taken to a concentration camp. Then he saw all the Jews in the ghetto being taken by the Nazis really bad and began to take care of his Jewish workers even better. Once all his workers were sent to the concentration camps, he went to the concentration camps and asked him to get his workers back and in in some sense he hid them by making them "work". He is credited with saving more than a thousand people during his lifetime... middle of paper... children for believing Anne when she says that many people hid Jews for keep them safe. My second reason was that many people were kind to Jews at a time when they needed it most. These are the reasons why I agree with Anne Frank when she said "Despite everything, I believe that people are truly good at heart." By: Roshni PatelWork Cited Anne Frank. Director Roberto Dornhelm.
