The Letter Staring at the envelope, Serena immediately recognized the handwriting, kept with such great care and attention; it could only have come from Henrik Hanssen. The man who had stolen her heart over coffee, the man who had promised her the world, but only to get up and leave for pastures new, without a second thought. She often wondered if this kind, sensitive man she slept with was simply a test, to see how far she would go to get her dream job. Maybe Henrik was just a cold enigma after all. When he said he loved her, it was clearly a lie; you don't love someone, so you leave them without a real explanation. Upon leaving he promised her that he would take her place as CEO; he never said a word about their relationship while she tried to fight him. The man broke her heart, and it took him three months to get in touch with her, by letter. If the breakup of their chaotic relationship wasn't hard enough to bear, Serena found herself stripped of her CEO title to a male candidate with half the qualifications she had. It was another promise Henrik had failed to keep. Opening the envelope, Serena's heart began to pound, she almost wished Henrik was hiding in the back office, ready to take the letter from her and surprise her by telling her he was back home. Holby - just for her. She had fallen in love with Henrik and fallen deeply in love. He treated her like a lady, even though he seemed quite nervous in the early days of their six-month romance. He became a great lover, but then things changed and he left. Grabbing the expensive looking card in his hand, he smiled; Henrik always put the right feelings into the things he did. How to make sure your documents are delivered to you in... middle of paper... perfect for you. She found herself happier than she had been in ten years and was willing to give up everything for love. Something he would never do for anyone else. The phone on the desk worked, surprising Serena; she wiped away a few tears and answered the phone, the last string in her heart straining for Henrik. Unfortunately, his presence asked the AAU, "Yes, I'll be there right away." For a moment or two, after putting down the phone, Serena sat in the office chair without moving, without feeling the sense of urgency, taking a few deep breaths she neatly placed the letter back in the drawer, in an almost Hannsen style. He thought the letter was too valuable to find itself thrown into a pile. An impulsive thought crossed her mind. If he didn't come back for her, she would go to him. Life is too meaningful to waste.
