Topic > Personal Motivation In Psychology - 1069

In psychological terms, Motivation is defined as a characteristic that induces an organism to act towards a desired goal and elicits certain goal-directed behaviors (Motivation, nd). Simply put, motivation is nothing more than the desire to want something to be better than it is now and is the very reason why we engage in a particular behavior. For example, hunger is a motivation that induces in us the desire to eat and by eating we have achieved success over hunger. Motivation is the driving force why many of us take a step towards achieving something we want and is the basis for any success we desire in life. I've often wondered what motivates me to get up every morning and start my day. For this reason I explain that if I don't do it, I will be further away from achieving my goal of being a successful career woman and housewife. For my personal satisfaction and sense of accomplishment I want to return to the career I left behind a few years ago. And for the success of my family life I want to be a successful housewife. I don't believe in procrastination and this I believe is the motivation to get most of my work done on time. When I was in school, getting good grades was a motivation for me to finish my classwork and study my notes every day. I wanted to get good grades because I wanted to get into a good college and get a degree. The motivating factor for getting a college degree was getting a job right after graduation because I wanted to help support my family financially. I also wanted to be financially settled and lead a comfortable life. At school there was this teacher who insisted that students only use English to converse in class and punished us if we couldn't......middle of the paper......she was difficult and I l 'I found it extremely difficult. I didn't know where to start and where to end. Having signed up for the course I didn't want to leave it halfway. In those moments of extreme self-doubt, I am motivated by the multitude of possibilities that higher education can offer me. It can offer me a job in the field I left behind or, because I'm pursuing an entirely new area of education, it offers me the possibility of a new type of career. Whatever it is, I'm currently motivated to accomplish what I set out to do because it would allow me to achieve what I've always dreamed of. Being an independent woman with a successful career. So I can confidently say that there is not just one person or thing that motivates me but, depending on the situation I am in, I find my motivation in many different things and in different ways of allowing me to cross the bridge.
