The counties' history is filled with copious amounts of racism and has left communities searching for answers and reparations. The Broad-Based Black Economic Employment (B-BBEE) Act is supposed to help formerly disadvantaged apartheid people secure employment. Unfortunately, B-BBEE has not been properly implemented by the current South African government. It is more about punishing the oppressors of the past, rather than empowering those victims in the future. As a result of B-BBEE's inappropriate demand, ownership positions are administered to low-skilled employees. Thus increasing the probability of failure of the company.
