Ethical Issues: Raul is having difficulty obtaining location approvals within the required time period due to unforeseen circumstances. Raul's boss, Ian, is responsible for making sure Raul gets contracts approved on time, regardless of the cost. Ian is unhappy with the time it took to get zoning approvals. Pedro needs a bribe of 6000 pesos to complete the work and get the zoning permits on time. Raul is reluctant to pay the bribe and the worried people at headquarters might find out; but Ian insists it's no big deal. As a policy to respect the local culture they do business with, Raul pays the bribe to Pedro. Permits were approved and the first store in Mexico was built. The employees at the headquarters are also involved in this dilemma, putting strong pressure on Raul to obtain permits. Whenever D&R Company needs to build a store, it turns to Raul to get permits approved on time. Each time he pays the bribe to Pedro. When the authorities find out and plan to launch an investigation, Ian tells Raul to destroy any crime...
