Your life experiences can dramatically change your beliefs about yourself. Visual, auditory, or experienced events in one's family, broader community, and school influenced a person's views. A negative belief about oneself can form in the following areas: bullying, abusive relationships, stress or difficulty, or traumatic events. While loss of self-confidence may not be high on the list of “things to fear,” low self-esteem can attach itself to any person. However, it doesn't matter if female, male or even a child; Self-esteem is a necessity if you want to succeed in life. For example, according to the Confidence Coalition's article on self-esteem, 90% of all women want to change at least one aspect of their physical appearance, and only 2% of women think they are beautiful. As a woman, we strive to look our best. So if we have our “Sunday's Best” there should be no hiccups or lumps, otherwise we might start to feel discouraged.
