Topic > My Family's Influence - 1090

Many different things can influence a person's life in ways that make it unforgettable. For example, it could be the time you hiked up a towering mountain and ended up getting a peaceful view of the cityscape, or even the time you went to your first terrible sleepover and were shaking in fear. It could also be one or more people such as friends, siblings, teachers, and even mentors. Personally, my family were the people who ultimately had the greatest influence on me as an individual. Family may vary from person to person, but for me it is absolutely the most important thing I have. The people who have had a profound impact on me are my family; the way different personalities come together as one, the way they handle difficult situations and the closeness I have with them is very inspiring to me. One thing that has really taught me a lot in my life is the opportunity to see how my family is able to function properly, most of the time, with the completely different personalities that inhabit it. The two people who are most different from each other would be my parents. My mother is very reserved; however it can still be severe. Regardless, he always has this loving look in his eyes. My father on the other hand is quite the joker. He jokes about everything, but can be a very serious person when the time comes. It's easier to get things from my father, like money and permits. It's amazing to see how 2 different personalities can have such a strong relationship, almost 18 years! The other people in my family who influenced me more than I ever wanted were my siblings. My little sister is the closest to me in age, she is 14 while I am 16. My sister... middle of the paper... the impact of having someone always there for you no matter how bad you make it a mess. That feeling of hopelessness, disappointment and isolation is the absolute worst. However, when you have a family like mine, you almost never experience those feelings. Ultimately, my family as a whole is the reason I am the person I am today. It's the way different personalities come together as one, the way my family handles difficult situations, and the closeness I have with them that has truly impacted me and my life. I know I wouldn't be as cheerful, hardworking, or positive without seeing all of these qualities around me for most of my life. It's amazing how just 6 people can change you for the better. I know I would be in a very different place in my life if it wasn't for my family. Family is different for everyone and mine is truly the best person for me.
