A Good Man is Hard to FindIn the story "A Good Man is Hard to Find" by Flannery O'Conner there is an important theme and a life lesson behind this story. The author, Flannery O'Conner, makes it very clear what she is trying to portray. Each character has a deep meaning and plays an important role in showing the irony and how everyone should look at the aspect of life based on the events people face. This story also has a lot to do with the good and bad desecration of society over time. In the whole story there are two main characters, the misfit who is a murderer and the grandmother. There is also the family consisting of the father named Bailey, his two children named John Wesley and June Star. The last character is the mother, who is Bailey's wife. In the story, the grandmother, who has no real name, is one of the key characters in the plot. He almost has two different personalities in his character. He can be a good person and a bad person at the same time. The good side of the grandmother is that she tries to help keep the family together during the trip to Florida, and also seems to take care of the children, even if it goes against what the parents like. It gives children attention and discipline when the children's parents ignore them. Even though Grandma has a good side, she has a big evil side which is mostly shown in the story. Showing her evil side, Grandma has a very racist side. In many cases she could also be blamed for why her family was killed. There are many reasons why grandmother is the cause of the family's death in the store, for example, grandmother brought a cat with her which caused the family vehicle to crash. More Actions… half of the paper… tells an interesting story that has a much greater meaning than just a fictional story. O'Conner has a nice theme where it shows in the actions of the characters and how events unfold. Grandma is a very interesting woman. She believes that her conscience guides her in life. With this mindset, this makes her believe that she is much better than everyone else. He also judges the lack of goodness in people he knows and doesn't know at every opportunity he may get. He has this moral code that almost collapses every time it's questioned. The situation is completely different when it comes to the criminal called Misfit. He has a moral code that is not always right but, no matter what, he respects it. He questions everything life has to offer, but because of that he takes everything he learns and appreciates everything it has to offer.
