As a class we have become more informed about the world around us. This year we learned a lot especially about working together and our Chinese pride. We have become more and more part of our community and every day we find ways to bring what we have learned at school into the community and at home. This year I worked with my students to develop a better action cycle where they can see the actions they are taking in our classroom and translating them into the community. The biggest impact I am having at this point in my students' lives is teaching them independence. They are learning to become independent thinkers, they can come to their own conclusions. They can do things on their own that they never would have had to do before going to school. For some of them it's as simple as being able to feed themselves with a spoon.
