It has been surprisingly challenging to monitor this problem around the world as some countries do not conduct field surveys to measure the height and weight of school-age children. The World Health Organization and the International Task Force on Obesity further complicate matters, making it difficult to compare data between regions. However, in 2014 a lot of research was conducted and from this data we can see how the obesity rate has grown enormously since 1970, becoming an alarm for the public.
