I was single at the time, like most of the girls in my dorm, and much of the socializing talk was about the boys in our classes. One example I remember was one day when I was walking to class and a girl I considered my friend commented on my appearance. She was surprised I didn't dress up more for a lesson she knew I was having with a boy I was interested in. I explained my logic to her: if a guy didn't like my everyday appearance, then there's probably a reason I wouldn't want to be with them. He agreed with me, but said that at the beginning of any relationship you should dress well and put a little more effort into your appearance. He informed me that boys are like fish, you have to attract them before you can catch them
