Bill GatesGates was the founder of Microsoft, a computer company. After handing over his duties to Microsoft, he is now a philanthropist and donates most of his salary. Gates helped create personal computers that anyone could use by creating a simple operating system (operating system) called Windows that anyone could use. This made computers more popular and more useful for everyday use. Gates was born in Seattle, Washington on October 28, 1955. His father was a Seattle lawyer. Gates' parents always thought their son would become a lawyer similar to his father, but he ultimately became interested in computer science in seventh grade. While in high school he became friends with a boy named Paul Allen who was interested in computers just like Gates. They both ended up starting a company while still in high school. They ended up having to pay $20,000 in compensation. Gates wasn't allowed to use computers his entire senior year because he was caught hacking into the cyber network. He ended up helping Allen plan again the following year, helping create a schedule for their school....
