Because in my opinion this book is really teaching you the truth about profiling and how it is used in criminal investigations. I also find it very interesting how John Douglas explains through the book the motivations and thoughts of delinquents like Ed Gein, Wayne Williams, Ed Kemper, etc. I really liked the parts of the book where Joh Douglas explains how they solved crimes using profiling as an investigative technique. I think explaining profiling and explaining how John Douglas himself used it in investigations was very interesting to read, and was also a good way to teach. I think this book should be read if you want to work in law enforcement, because it teaches you a lot about criminals and their behaviors, things that will be very useful to an investigator.
