1) Title: "By Any Means Necessary": The Malcolm X Controversy2) Thesis: For this research paper, I will examine the beliefs and teachings of Malcolm The research will examine primary sources that show the perspectives of Malcolm X, the Nation of Islam, and the public regarding some of his speeches to the public. These perspectives will allow me to determine whether or not Malcolm X was controversial. The sources will provide an insight into Malcolm In this article, I will argue that Malcolm X was non-controversial as a whole, but during parts of his life he supported racism and violence. The thesis of the article is that Malcolm X went through two phases in his life; the first, when he advocated racism, and the second, when he advocated working as one human race to have equality for all, regardless of race. It is the first phase that many critics of Malcolm X focus on, but fail to consider the second phase.
