Topic > Books vs. Movies - 783

Have you ever read a great book only to find yourself stuck with a horrible movie based on it? Watching a movie based on a book is great, at least if you haven't read the book. Reading the book on which the film is based is much better than the film itself, imagining the words in action from a book is much more thrilling than in the film. The film itself is quite a disappointment. The book Divergent for example, spoiler alert, the book was absolutely fantastic in every sense for those who like the kind of book that gives you chills and has a disgustingly surprising twist, all set in a post- apocalyptic. If I were such a good reader, I would have read it a fourth time. The movie for Divergent came out recently, about two weeks ago, it wasn't that bad considering they could have simply had a time limit assigned to the movie. However, he ruled out one very important key factor that could ruin the upcoming films for the series. One of the main characters had abandoned the factions due to a serious injury, which was not shown in the film. There is no way for the character to thrive in the movies like in the books after Divergent. Throughout the book he plays a faction member unless, as implied, he belongs to a faction. This is because, as one of the main characters, he was sent due to injury or doesn't fit into a faction. The character plays an important role in the second book, as one of the leaders of the minor faction, but in the film he was not sent to the minor faction. This part was the one I was looking forward to the most in the movie, I was on the edge of my seat when the movie part related to the book, but it never happened. This problem is... middle of paper... the shows or movies themselves leave me on the verge of outright hating the series. I realize that the show shouldn't be exactly like the book, word for word, however, make it so that things can be easily predicted, or make it so that key factors from the book have been left out in the show or movie, It's something I can't understand. Everywhere I go, everyone I talk to has the same reading interests as me, they all agree that the show or movie based on the stories isn't as good as the stories themselves. They all agree with me that it's better to read the book yourself and not watch the shows or movies. It might be hard to believe at first, as I was a non-believer, but after I started reading Manga, I started to get hooked, I stopped watching Anime adaptations in general, and soon the same will happen with books that I'm reading.
