Information regarding understanding vaccination will help child development professionals advise parents on which vaccination to administer to their child. They will also be able to provide parents with the timing of these vaccinations. As child development professionals, they will be in a good position to explain to parents the negative effects of not ensuring their child receives vaccination. The term WIC is an abbreviation for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC programs are programs that focus on empowering women with the best ways to care for children to prevent disease.
