The information revolution has brought many changes in the world, changes that encompass all the ways and its role. Computers have been used in every industry: sports, airlines, street cameras, cars, businesses, etc. Technology plays an important role in changing our lifestyle. Advantages of human-computer interaction • Changing computers: - Internet, PC and web browser were three without these three great inventions of HCI our today would not have been possible. Computers influence our daily activities, from buying food to paying bills. We've had to wait a long time for billing in recent years, but these days it's a quick and total time saver. Several computers, known as POINT of sale, have been installed in supermarkets to scan products and automatically count totals, which is much better than the old manual invoicing. • Gesture GUI: - (Harper, 2008) mentioned when computers first came into our human lives we learned to interact with computers using keyboard, mouse and desktop. We started with Microsoft Excel for calculations, Word for documents, presentations and virtual desktop via GUI, but GUIs have changed the way computer and user interact. Now we have spell checker in Word that corrects our spelling without us realizing it, cancels repeat options. • The world's phone in our hand (Harper, 2008) stated that in the last 20-25 years the growth of mobile users has increased rapidly . Mobile phones are the best mode of communication all over the world. Nowadays this is not just a mobile phone but has many other advantages such as means of entertainment, media etc. Smartphones nowadays come with many different applications such as music players, GPS, news applications, calendars, games etc... ..middle of the page......permanently stored as digital video.
