In this unit we talked about emotions. We graphed our emotions every hour for a day. We worked fourteen hours a day. So, we rated our emotions. If it were a good emotion, we would give it +1 to +10. If it didn't feel good, we'd rate it -1 to -10. Our lowest emotions would be at -10 and our highest at +10. I had different emotions throughout the hour and realized that I could feel many different emotions in just one day. The highest emotion I plotted on my chart was a sense of relief. The event that triggered this emotion was the fact that I had completed three tests and was happy to have completed them. I was also happy because I thought they were easy. This emotion got a +7 on my chart because it was one of the highlights of my day. It was 12:00, during science class. Feeling relieved is one of the best emotions I can feel, because I feel like I've lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders. The lowest emotion I planned was exhaustion. This got a -8 on my chart. It was 9:00 in the evening, I had had a busy day and I was tired. I was getting ready for bed at this time. I wanted to go to bed but I still had some homework to do. Being exhausted isn't a good emotion, but it's still healthy to feel. You need to rest more if you are very tired, because eventually your body will not process your feelings and emotions as well. We children need a lot of rest. For about 71% of my day I was positive. Some of my positive emotions included joy, relief, interest, optimism, confidence, happiness, and satisfaction. I had 29% negative emotions. Some of my negative emotions were tired, b... middle of paper... and caring for others means practicing good social health. Being reliable and trustworthy is really good, and asking for help when you need it is also good. You should express your true feelings and support the people you care about to make the right choices. Good social health is important for life with your friends and family. Doing this unit on emotions and feelings made me realize that I experience many different emotions. Making the table and graph of emotions also made me realize that my mood changes and that I can have a good part of the day and a bad part of the day. I can turn a negative situation into a positive one if I really try. Part of this has really helped me learn about emotions and feelings and how they affect our daily lives. Your health is an important part of how you live and we all need to be cautious about our health.
