Steve Jobs had a daughter, Lisa Brennan, out of wedlock with his high school sweetheart. He immediately denied paternity, even after DNA testing proved he was the father. When the DNA test established the fact that Jobs was Lisa's father, he made absurd claims and said that since the paternity test was only 94% positive that Jobs was the father, even 28% of the male population could be Lisa's father. After a long legal battle, paternity was legally established and Jobs paid only a minimum of $385 per month in child support to the mother of his child, eventually increasing the amount to $500 per month after Jobs became a millionaire. According to the movie Steve Jobs, “Jobs publicly denied being Lisa's father, and a lawsuit ensued. Even after a DNA paternity test established that Jobs was Lisa's father, he made up a ridiculous argument..." (Edwards) Steve Jobs was a coward because he denied paternity of his daughter who he knew was his, and made extremely offensive remarks towards her. Even after establishing his paternity, he made only minimal child support payments to his daughter's mother and also wanted nothing to do with her public and refused to acknowledge the fact that he was Lisa's father, only reluctantly admitting it after a lengthy tribunal.
