Topic > Idealism: Personal Philosophy - 1028

My Personal Philosophy There are many philosophies and beliefs that can be recognized and discussed in this world. Some invented and some supported by direct evidence. Some would disagree with most and some would agree with. One thing I firmly believe is that there is no right or wrong belief or philosophy, as long as you have a reason for what you're talking about. Believe what you want to believe. Everyone thinks differently. The three main topics on which I will share my beliefs are reality, society and destiny. I believe in idealism, that reality is a creation of minds. Reality is in your mind. It's what you see and how you feel. Thoughts are so powerful and real that they determine your actions which determine your habits which determine your lifestyle and reality. Thoughts control our life. Although ideas come from our mind, the universe and the energy around us are what gives us the ideas. You define your truth and what you believe. The famous philosopher Plato once said: "The object of knowledge is that which exists and its function of knowing reality." I agree with Plato in thinking that the more you know about things in our world, the greater your knowledge and understanding of what is real. Reality is not only what you see, hear and learn, but it is also what you think and believe. You can believe whatever you want to believe. For example you can show someone a flower and it is up to them to perceive reality, is the flower beautiful? Or is it bad? It is up to people's perception, thoughts about the flower, and what they believe is considered “beautiful” to answer the question.
