What if we lived in a world where the price of education was so high that only the rich and powerful could afford it? I know it's hard to believe, but this is what the world is coming to. We truly live in a society where the rich are getting richer and the poorer are getting poorer. While the rich pay for their children to go to college, the poor try to find low-paying jobs to stay afloat. The cost of college is so high that it is becoming unbearable for lower and middle class families to afford it. Universities are excluding people because of their economic status. Many important people are pushing for colleges to receive less money so that less fortunate kids can get an education. An education that in some cases is important for a young adult's survival in this world. The federal government must do more to rein in tuition costs at public universities, which educate more than 70 percent of the nation's students.
