What is motivation? What influences him? The term motivation can be defined in several ways. Motivation can be defined simply as “a need that, if high, manifests itself in a strong desire to achieve, to excel, to reach a high level of excellence” (Lefrancois 430). To become motivated, you need to have a positive attitude towards a variety of learning skills. Some factors that influence motivation include our peers, friends, parents, and environmental context. Division four being the high school division, the focus is on learning and the methods that can be used. Students at this stage are more eager and develop a sense of what they want to do and achieve in later adulthood. With a split comes a group of intelligent theorists. All seen through the minds of Jean Piaget, Victor Vygotsky, Erik Erikson, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Albert Bandura and Lawrence Kohlberg. When Jean Piaget examined his children's interactions with the environment, he developed the feeling that the older the child becomes, the greater their intelligence. In the fourth division of stages, high school students develop newer schemas, that is, new ideas or concepts that will help them achieve. His motivation is acquired through balance. It is the ability to maintain a balance between previous knowledge and what the student knows now. Think of balance like a seesaw: both sides maintain a strong balance. From choosing to go to university or take a gap year to receive that tuition. The importance of motivation is setting goals. It doesn't matter what the goals are, as long as they are positive and indicate what the person wants to do. With Piaget's theory comes some learning challenges. Normally referred to as imbalance,...... half of the paper..., etc. Taking these courses will help give students an idea of what to expect when they enter college. Lots of hard work. The third key to installing preparation is to study hard. Many students at this level procrastinate or not study at all. The results show that seniors graduate from high school with a minimal GPA, making it more difficult to get into a specific program. The goals for all high school students should be to work hard, motivate, and develop more knowledge. Overall, motivation influences learning in all different aspects. All thanks to a positive attitude. The more determination or confidence a student has in themselves, the more knowledge they will gain in preparation for young adulthood. With the help of supporters (teachers, parents, peers or coaches) students will be able to ask, answer and discuss, therefore, determines positive thinking and attitude.
