They both believed in one God who is omnipotent, infinite and sovereign and is the ultimate judge. Both Christ and Muhammad believe in the Old Testament and recognize Abraham as the father of their nations and a man of God. Muhammad like them, being the main religious leaders, also have some distinct differences. Their teachings are similar in the sense that they believe in a monotheistic religion but differ in the way of acquiring righteousness. Jesus teaches righteousness through faith while Muhammad teaches righteousness through works. Furthermore, they differ in their nature where Christ is a divine being while Muhammad is a man.
