I learned from class discussion that play is one of the ways early learners make discoveries and develop social-emotional skills. I also learned that young children need space to move, fine motor skills, pushing and pulling skills, and cause-and-effect toys. I found it interesting that children need to see still images of emotions and watch older children play outside. This allows babies to imitate the physical skills of older children, such as running, jumping and climbing, as well as imitating their social skills. All while their educators/guardians speak to them in low voices. All this information has changed my view on early education topics and theories. Now I am a big believer in and appreciate the importance of preschool and preschool. I am eager to apply this information to my pedagogy and career as an
