Earnest Hemingway was well known as a strong writer, but what many of his readers don't know is the inspiration he gained throughout his life and the experiences that made him a very prolific. There are events in his life, from childhood to adulthood, that helped him get used to his very unique writing style. Hemingway was a different kind of writer from others; he often used recurring words of specific diction to create an effect on the reader. Each of his books was based on something, as Hemingway was not the type of writer who sat in a log cabin writing all day. Hemingway was a man of great experiences and his life was filled with many inspirations which contributed to his novels and his unique writing style. Every idea he had was based on personal experience, which he found inspiring. This is what I think makes him such a unique and original writer, thanks to his extraordinary life experiences. While Hemingway was growing up, he had a very unique mother who led a career path that most of his readers would not expect. Hemingway's mother was a classically trained musician, who studied a lot of music throughout her life, mostly classical as I said but also different types of music and styles. She played concerts all over the city and that was how she paid the mortgage for her and Hemingway while he was growing up. His mother continually put so much work and enthusiasm into the music scene and industry, telling Hemingway that he would be rewarded with success after a significant amount of work, which in this case helped him with her dedication and commitment in his writings influencing him. Also, his mother had forced Hemingway to take cello lessons as a writer…middle grade…an interesting writer, and his stories are very unique compared to other writers. In conclusion, I feel like I have truly discovered why Hemingway writes about what he does and where he gets all his ideas from. I believe that everything Hemingway wrote about came from nothing more than personal experience. I learned that Hemingway learned what he knows about writing and developed his unique style through personal experience, whether it was his romantic moments, his childhood, and his times during the war, etc. He taught himself from living his own life; it's almost like he goes out and finds something interesting to do so that he's inspired to write more. Serious Hemingway in general seems like the kind of guy who has a lot of stories to tell; if he were still alive, he would really be someone I would like to meet.
