The Life of TherapyThe meaning of physical therapy is a healthcare profession that provides care to individuals to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and function throughout their lives. Physical therapy is the treatment of injuries or deformities with physical methods such as massage, heat treatments, and exercise, rather than with drugs or surgery. It is also a branch of rehabilitation medicine aimed at helping patients maintain recovery or improve their physical abilities. People require physical therapy to manage and recover from debilitating physical conditions. It is to help people who have conditions that limit their ability in their daily activities. Physical therapy can be used for any neuromuscular or musculoskeletal dysfunction. There are many types of physical therapy. For example, orthopedic, geriatric, neurological, cardiopulmonary and pediatric athletics and you could choose to be a general, all-seeing physical therapist. They all have different meanings that explain what therapy means. If you get hurt on the football field, basketball court, or even at work, perhaps an activity that could end in injury. A physical therapist will guide you through the situation. Don't think that experience means they can't do anything for you, there are physiotherapists for all your needs.
