In the twenty-first century, pollution is a big problem all over the world, so people pay more attention than ever to protecting the environment. Therefore, ecotourism has been introduced to customers by many tourism businesses including hotels, resorts, airlines or safaris. This essay will compare and contrast the sustainable programs of some tourism businesses such as Eco Beach Resort, Habitat HQ Hostel and Qantas Airline. We will then discuss the impacts these sustainable options could have on consumer decision-making. Today people are very concerned about the impact their activities can have on the environment. People want to live close to wildlife and have less impact on the environment. To participate in the global environmental protection, many tourism companies try to present their ecological program to their customers. The essay compares three different types of tourism activities and their ecological programs. First of all, it is the Eco Beach Resort located in Broome, Western Australia. This is a completely one hundred percent eco-friendly resort. According to their website (Eco Beach Resort, 2014), their mission is to provide the customer with a fabulous, high-end wilderness experience while trying to leave less of an impact on the surrounding landscape. There are 25 eco-villas and 30 luxury-style eco-tents. The resort's structure and design brings guests closer to nature with a garden of native bushes, bamboo floors, eco-friendly composite terraces and maximizes the flow of cool ocean breezes and the high ceilings provide natural cooling efficiency via window systems and doors.
