CASE STUDY PAPERHi, my name is Carl Robbins, I am the current campus recruiter for ABC, Inc. Working at ABC, Inc. has been great for the last 6 or 7 months and I would not gave up the last few months for nothing in the world, life is fantastic. We all know that nothing lasts forever and that the utopia of ABC, Inc. was coming to an end. A few weeks later, around Memorial Day, the stress factor skyrocketed. I've been caught off guard by an uppercut from Mike Tyson or a jab from Ali. My boss Monica Carrolls, the operations supervisor at ABC, Inc., asked me a few weeks earlier to set up some interviews and hire the 15 best candidates for a new department that would report directly to her. I interviewed nearly 100 candidates; each candidate was given a 100 question multiple choice test and a rigorous question and answer session by me for about 30 minutes each session just to see how well the candidate would react under pressure. A few weeks went by and I made my decision and hired the 15 candidates I thought were best suited for the job opening, so I hired them and let them know the job would start on June 15th. I was elated: every candidate I chose accepted the job offer as long as they met a few more qualifications. Applicants would have to pass a series of physical exams and a drug test to begin orientation on June 15. All the candidates were enthusiastic and accepted the offer. I created files for new candidates and delivered them to the human resources department of ABC, Inc.. The job of the human resources department was to help me set up a training program, orientation, manuals, policy pamphlets and other matters that I could have met. I was elated and assured Monica that everything was and will be taken care of because I thought she could trust the HR department to handle all the back-end work in finalizing new hire files. It's been a few days and I think I honked a little too soon. One day I decide to go into our company's internal intranet and look at the files. The intranet is my company's internal Internet service.
