Inefficient communication within the boundaries of the organization can result in various departmental conflicts that impact the business entity as a whole. Internal communication plays a vital role for almost every business entity and there is several pieces of evidence to support this statement. Organizations with effective communication thrive and achieve their intended goals in a timely manner, while various other organizations fail to optimally utilize their resources. Many other organizations fail to succeed due to lack of information flow and inadequate communication channels (Hanna, 2005). Due to ineffective connection between employees within the company structure, this can result in conflicts between departments and affect the organization as a whole. Studies have shown that interdepartmental communication is one of the key issues facing an organization in today's daily business. This essay reflects the importance of knowledge sharing and learning within departments and how the same can be overcome by considering possible measures and implementing them within an organization. From a management perspective during business operations, the entity grows and as the co-operations grow, the ordering and dependence on another department also increases significantly. For this reason, the organization's long-term goals and objectives are spread across many departments. Each unit has specific skills and capabilities that are in line with the company's strategy and to fulfill the same, knowledge sharing is a very vital process. Knowledge sharing is a combination of actions that include sharing knowledge or supporting others (Jashapara and Prasarnphanich, 2004). Possession of knowledge… middle of the paper… complemented by dividing talent into different divisions of an organization. As Ben (2003) compliments the idea of implementing job rotation because it can be very helpful in training an individual to understand the needs of other departments. This will allow employees to understand the workflow within the organization and understand how different teams work and the interdependence of each other to build a better team as a whole. As job rotation helps to identify the character, ethical principles of an employee which allows for good team building where employees exchange information with each other considering that their role is more fundamental and important and they should not handle the information with themselves themselves. It also results in interaction between individuals from different departments and allows for quick response and mutual agreement in the form of formal or informal communication.
