1. Describe the trends/results with reference to what is shown in the Results. The results, table and graph, show that brown rice, jasmine rice and white rice absorbed different amounts of water. The average amount of water absorbed after 60 minutes by white rice was 94.3 ml, while jasmine rice absorbed an average of 66.3 ml of water after 60 minutes and brown rice absorbed the smallest amount of water between all three with an average of 49.7 ml after 60 minutes. . They all increased gradually over the 60 minutes of the experiment but, as the line graph and table show, the greatest amount of water was absorbed in the first 10 minutes for all three types of rice.2. Was the result different or the same as your hypothesis? Explain why or why not. Yes, the result was the same as my hypothesis that "white rice absorbs more water". White rice absorbs more water because according to it it has been stripped of its husk, germ and bran. This improves the flavour, texture and appearance and therefore lasts longer in storage, but also results in better absorbency as it is quite soft compared to ...
