No one deserves to be hurt physically, emotionally or sexually. Therefore neither man, nor child, nor woman should be victims of domestic violence. Women are not the only people subject to domestic violence. Although, from further evaluation on the womensaid.org website, statistics state that “32% of women who have experienced domestic violence have done so four or five (or more) times, compared to 11% of (number smaller) than men who have suffered domestic violence”. Statistics also state, on the website of the National Center for Children Exposed to Violence, that the majority of cases of domestic abuse occur in family contexts, where the father figure represents the insensitive and violent actions against the mother figure. However, we must not ignore that men are equally victims. Therefore, neither man, nor woman, nor child should be subjected to this vile act of forbidden passion. Acts of domestic cruelty against women, children and men must stop, even if victims believe they deserve such punishments. (women'said.org), (NCCEV) Domestic violence isn't always physical, although physical abuse is typically the first thing most people think of when they hear this phrase. Physical abuse occurs when the abuser physically harms their spouse or child. The abuser does not always punch, slap or kick his victims. They can use objects such as belts, clubs, etc. Domestic violence occurs when someone in the family portrays violent or destructive actions against their spouse or child. These actions may include emotional or verbal abuse. In this case, the attacker will use his power over the victim without physically touching him. In most cases, emotional or verbal abuse consists of a threat directed at the other person. Those a......middle of paper......n do not report domestic abuse because they are ashamed and feel alone. Some victims refuse to defend themselves because never hitting a woman goes against their morals. Domestic violence and abuse against anyone should not be acceptable, be it a woman, a child or even a man. Works Cited Women's Aid: Until Women and Children Will Be Safe.
