According to Larsen and Buss (2005, p. 4), “personality is defined as a set of psychological traits and mechanisms within an individual that are organized and relatively lasting and influencing the life of the individual. interactions and adaptations to intrapsychic, physical and social environments". Thus, the improvement of dynamic organization leading to distinctive development is called personality development. Blanchard-Fields and Cavanaugh (2011, p. 14) stated that “personality development progresses through the continuous interaction of biological, psychological, sociocultural, and life-cycle developmental forces such as environment, character, and temperament.” . Not only that, the correct way of dealing with or fixing a significant life event can improve one's personality and lead to a better person in one's later life. I was a self-centered person, overconfident and full of ego. I only did things that benefited me and thought the people around me had a responsibility to treat me well until I was diagnosed with early breast cancer when I was 16. The accident made me realize my weaknesses and I was facing a low point in my life. Subsequently, the attitude of a nurse and the support of my family changed the development of my personality and made me become the person I am today. Description I was the youngest in my family. I come from a wealthy family. My father was a businessman. He always had to meet his clients and business partners but never neglected his family. My mother was a housewife who always took care of the children. I have an older sister and two older brothers. Everyone in my family loves and adores me. So I was spoiled. My parents would give me everything I wanted and this paper medium made me feel the need to act in a perfectionistic and idealistic way. Once my superego has developed, balance of forces is achieved because the ego must act simultaneously with the desire of the id and the constraints of reality. It really needs the intrinsic part of my mind to overcome the conflicts between Id, Ego and Superego. Conclusion It is important to have knowledge of personality development. Learning personality development is like equipping yourself with essential skills that can stand out and promote you. It's not just about improving yourself in all kinds of aspects, but also about motivating you not to give up easily, regardless of the situation you are facing. I feel fortunate to have knowledge about personality development that allows me to understand myself more deeply and that relates to my daily activities. Now I behave and think more maturely.
