Is abortion right or wrong? I believe that abortion is neither totally right nor wrong. I believe teenagers should be able to have an abortion without parental permission, but parents should be informed because it is a medical procedure. Teenagers should be able to have abortions because there are only babies, they aren't even grown up, so how could they take care of a baby? Not only will it be difficult to care for a baby, but their choices will be limited when the baby is born. Teens ages 16 to 19 were three and a half times more likely than the general population to be victims of rape, attempted rape, or sexual assault, which leads to my third reason why teens should be able to have abortions. Teenage girls should absolutely be able to have an abortion if they are raped: it is not right to force a victim to have a child with her attacker. Teenagers are still children. So basically we have a bunch of guys having kids, which is crazy. Teenagers are not ready to be parents until they are grown up themselves. Teenagers are not able to raise a stable family, they do not have a job, their children will not have a father and they are not yet responsible enough for this. To be a parent you need discipline, education and finances. Teenagers have none of this. Teenagers shouldn't have all this forced on them at such a young age. What kind of teenager would give up friends, proms, his education, and his entire life just to change diapers, feed, and care for a baby. Teenagers already don't like waking up early in the morning to go to school, so why should they take care of a child in the middle of the night? That's right, they wouldn't do it. Teenagers are simply too young to have children when they are their only child. Most rape victims have serious physiological problems, especially if the victim is a teenager. About seventy-five percent of rape victims take some type of antidepressant medication, which can be harmful to the fetus. Issues in today's society include whether or not teenagers should be able to have abortions. Adolescents should be able to have abortions because they are only children themselves, will have very limited choices when the baby is born and could be victims of rape. I believe that teenagers should have the right to do what they want with their bodies even if they are minors. If they don't want to raise a child at that time, they shouldn't be forced to. Therefore adolescents should be able to have an abortion if they wish.
