Cell phone technologies are changing rapidly; so rapidly that the changes cannot be controlled. Cell phones and phones in general have evolved greatly since they were first invented, with everything available at just the click of a button. In general, phones have gone from being connected to each other through one carrier, to calling someone using an outside dial phone, to being able to contact someone on the move at a public telephone station, to having your own personal cell phone in hand. . Cell phones have come a long way and improved technologically. However, with these advancements in cell phones, they have the ability to shape one for better or worse. Which side do you choose? Authors Christine Rosen, Paul Goldberger, Jeffery Rosen, and Sam Anderson all share the same topic of technology, but each bring their own thoughts and ideas regarding the cell phones that shape one. In Christine Rosen's Our Cell Phone, Our Selves,” Rosen asks rhetorically, “How has [technology] changed our behavior and how might it continue to do so?” (457), indicating that technology has altered in some sense humans. Explains how technology has shaped people and how it is affecting the daily lives of Americans.
