Topic > My Future Plans - 1064

According to the Independent Study Center's website, future planning is defined as “...a facilitated process in which individuals, their families, and other members of their support team work with a coach to create a framework for the individual's future, develop a detailed action plan, and begin taking steps to make that framework a reality.” I agree with the definition, but I would add a simple thought that would define future planning as a process of recognizing which areas in an individual's life need improvement and then what steps should be taken to bring about positive change. In this article I will talk about my future plans by starting to criticize the process (due to the high risk that it may not be feasible), then I will talk about my plans by giving examples of some economic facts that directly or indirectly affect my plans. I have plans for the future 10 years from now, but I must admit that they are ambiguous because they relate to change depending on the importance of the things that will happen, but those plans are: finish the degree course, do the master's degree then graduate in medicine and open a business. We wouldn't make plans for the future if we were fully satisfied with our current life. Since there is always an area for improvement in the meantime, most of us tend to make future plans. It could be understood as a criticism of the future planning process, but being a realist I understand that that process may not apply because it takes the focus away from the present. Life is short, so why not focus on the life that already exists and enjoy everything that is given and make the best of it. But looking at the present, I realized that everything (technology, healthcare, social skills and so on) is here is due to the fact that someone dreams about the future, that person has taken the importance of the present facts of his life. My present is influenced by someone who wants to change. A specific example could be the creation of a mobile phone resulting from the work of Reginald Fessenden and the numerous technicians (engineers, computer scientists, psychologists and so on) who work on its creation. I admit I'm scared of future plans because I update them weekly. I hardly discuss future plans for many reasons, the first life is not guaranteed for many years as we hope.
