TeamworkIt's about how to work with groups and other team members, most of the time it's hard to do, but with our jobs nowadays we have to do what we have to do. I enjoy working with others especially when they are motivated to get the job done in a timely manner. Then we have some who just don't want to help but want everyone else to do their job for them. Working in groups you will have to know who is who and what they like to do, and then you can do what needs to be done for that group. Group dynamics is when we interact with all groups involved in the project. (Chapter 1, page 1 Joining Together; Group Theory and Group Skills 10th Edition). With group dynamics we can learn how a person thinks and works, if we can do this the group can work better with all the parties involved. It is very important to know everyone in the group, so that everyone knows their place in it. Knowledge is power and we all need power when working with a group. Interdependence is helpful when we work with a group, because if one person can't do something, someone else may be able to handle that problem. Interdependence is power and when working with a group that is what we need. In most cases you can influence someone to do something and then they can do the same thing to another person. Power is what you need when working with others. If a person has social skills and loves working with people, then he or she will do great in a group. Social interdependence becomes positive interdependence when group members determine that the group's goals will be achieved if everyone within the group also has the ability to achieve their goals. When working in a team you need to make sure that all workers are someone you can trust with the work that needs to be done. Working in a team is very difficult, but it's something we all have to do at some point if we want to keep our jobs for any length of time. I've been through a lot of different things in some of my jobs, but I've come out on top and I think it's made me a better person.
