Everyone has a general level of skill development, yet people don't understand how to take the skill and improve it. In this essay I will evaluate my volleyball skill and the feedback techniques shown by my physical education teacher. During the unit I kept a four-week diary to record the type of practice, feedback from the game and training. To assess my skill level in volleyball I looked at what the nature of a skill is, how they are developed and influenced, as well as the importance of feedback. According to Will Smith (2013: 1) “The separation between talent and ability is one of the most misunderstood concepts for people who are trying to excel, who have dreams, who want to do things. Talent you have naturally. Skill only develops with hours and hours and hours of perfecting your craft. There are 5 five key skills that are used throughout the game: they are known as dig, place, cut, dunk and block. Digging is a recovery and passing tool, this skill affects the "base part of the feet shoulder width apart". bent over, hands together, palms facing the sky and elbows locked. The set is a tactical move that allows you to dunk the ball, performing this skill requires early movement and hitting the ball with your fingertips same jumping style and same contact on the ball. A block is a defensive or offensive move related to a dunk by jumping over the net but is used to deflect the ball into the opponent's court. .....middle of paper ......think of other objects that have been placed in position to make my movements more precise. The closed skill improved my skill learning as the skill was easier to perform with small distractions or multiple tools. These phases influence the improvement of skill development in my volleyball performance. The aspects of skill learning described in the paper were the main factors influencing skill development. They were the type of feedback, full and partial learning, massed practice and distributed practice, factors influencing skill development, and skill development stages. The volleyball unit involving skill development was successful because my volleyball skills have improved since the start of the unit. This assumption was because each stage of skill development assessed in this essay was used to improve my performance.
